据《每日邮报》获悉，曼联正在探讨7月下旬在北欧地区进行两场友谊赛的可能性，以此敲定季前备战方案。
目前，在芬兰对阵雷克瑟姆的计划正稳步推进，同时俱乐部也在考虑于瑞典哥德堡安排另一场对阵其他对手的比赛。
本赛季联赛收官日为5月24日，世界杯将于6月11日开赛，时间间隔过短，曼联无法复刻上赛季结束后远赴马来西亚和中国香港进行商业赛的行程。球队上赛季的那次亚洲行入账约1000万英镑。
近年来，曼联已形成前往北欧进行季前热身的惯例，例如曾于7月在斯德哥尔摩与利兹联进行过一场友谊赛。
